This fall I’ll begin my first year in an MBA program. It’s a sea change in my life that I’ve labored for two years to create, and I’m incredibly excited. In the spirit of my journey back to school, I’ve been watching Fast Company’s 30 Second MBA video series. I’d rank it next to TED and Big Think as one of my favorite destinations for video-driven educational content.
Essentially, the series captures 30-second kernels of business wisdom from some of the world’s best entrepreneurs, thought-leaders, artists and executives. Often videos are shot with a simple webcam or lipstick cam, sometimes even inside the quiet “classroom” space of a parked car. The content is informative and thought-provoking. I also applaud Fast Company for enlisting the voices of a wide variety of “professors” outside the business community. It reminds me that business extends beyond the board room and the office tower and encompasses many facets of our lives.
